The difficulty level of CAT examination is quite understandable considering the high stakes and emphasis by top management colleges on choosing the brightest minds. There are several talented students but CAT exam is not just about talent. It’s about smartness and how a candidate performs in particular section at the particular time.

CAT tests performance of students in the 2-3 hour duration of entrance test. These are most critical hours in the life of MBA aspirants. Apart from theoretical aspect, this test also checks, decision making ability, mind application, performance, smart strategy and stress management. Students also need to make smart selection in the exam. Choosing right questions and right section for a fixed period of duration will only come after consistent practice.
Candidates also need to be accurate because of negative marking thing. No short cuts will work. The questions comprise of sections like verbal, quantitative and analytical. The questions will be a mix of analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, antonyms, analogies, multiple choices, sentence completions, reading comprehension passages, data interpretation and general awareness questions.
