CAT Test

CAT (Common Admission test) test is a huge challenge for lakhs of candidates who aspire to make a career in management field. This is a challenge that must be crossed in order to join a top B-school so that students get the best of management education. The journey towards CAT is not an overnight one. One needs to prepare for months or even year so that all the aspects of the toughest management exam in India get well covered.

The most challenging as well as fascinating aspect about CAT test is it not only analyzes your theoretical prowess but also gives equal weightage to an all round personality. One can’t just memorize thing while preparing for the exam. It is as much a test of your sound educational background as it is of your ability to improvise. One needs to be constantly on his toes while appearing for all the three stages of the exam.

The first stage in CAT exam is of written test. The test comprises of questions pertaining to analytical and reasoning ability, data interpretation, English knowledge and current affairs. No wonder, students need to give their best in all the sections. One needs to be jack of all trade in the written test. Once the result of entrance test is out, students need to prepare for GD section where a topic is given to all the participating students and the candidates need to put across their point of view about the topic.

The choice of topic is quite random as it can range from any current issue to even a topic like current political affair or terrorism or even the great depression. GD is about how well you are aware of happenings around the world and what’s your awareness level. Lastly PI stage where personal credentials of the students are checked. Also, candidate’s conviction and confidence power is thoroughly analyzed by the experienced people of the industry.
